About our rooms.

We have two indoor rooms at our centre connected to our outdoor environment, allowing for play to occur throughout the day.

Amaroo Room.

Our Amaroo Room caters for ages 2 to 3.

Amaroo is an Australian Indigenous word meaning “lovely or beautiful place“.

The Amaroo Room consists of two qualified staff members for children aged between two years to three and half. The focus of our toddlers room is to foster children’s sense of wonder and self-esteem as they develop upon their self help skills and realisation of their autonomy. We provide the children with a room full of activities that foster their developmental progress whilst complimenting their individual needs with a flexible and vibrant daily routine.

Alkira Room.

Our Alkira Room caters for ages 3 to 6.

Alkira is an Australian Indigenous word meaning “bright and sunny“.

Our Preschool room consists of two qualified educators implementing our emergent curriculum. We engage the pre-schoolers in experiences and activities that will assist them in defining who they are in the here and now and ensuring that they are prepared and informed for the upcoming formal school years.

We believe in providing pre-schoolers with the opportunity to direct their learning with the balance of educator, family and community input. Children partake in excursions and networking with local schools to encourage their confidence and comfortability with schooling. The learning environment is encompassing of both the indoor and outdoor environment as children have ease of access to both areas, set up with resources to foster and challenge their development skills as well as engaging in higher order thinking process such as problem solving with mathematical and scientific play.
